Every year when the days grow short and the evenings come early, at Hoyne we gather around the brewhouse to brew a beer that means a little more to us than most. We call it Gratitude. It’s rich, warming, and meant to be shared...it's a beer to slow down with and reflect on all that we have.
This year, more than ever, gratitude feels like something worth highlighting and holding onto. The world's been moving fast, and hasn't always easily. We’ve seen our communities stretched, our small businesses tested, and our country reminded of what it means to look out for one another. And yet, through it all, there’s been no shortage of kindness ...whether it is neighbors checking in, volunteers stepping up, small acts of generosity there are reminders that decency is still alive and well in Canada.
That’s really what Gratitude was brewed for. It’s not just a winter warmer; it’s a 'thank you' in liquid form. A nod to the good people doing good things - sometimes without anyone noticing.
This year, here at Hoyne, we wanted to take that spirit a step further. For twelve days this December, we’re inviting you, our community, to join us in giving back through what we’re calling our 12 Days of Gratitude Giveaway. Each day, we’ll donate $200 to a charity chosen by you. All you have to do is tell us about an organization that means something to you, and why. We’ll pick one each day and make a donation in whoever's name you choose. Maybe it's for the neighbor who has something near to their heart, or that small business owner who never askes for extra help.
It’s a small gesture, but one we hope creates a ripple or two. Because gratitude, when shared, has a way of growing.
So as winter settles in, we hope you’ll raise a glass with us. To the helpers, the healers, the doers, the dreamers. To the people and places that make our communities what they are.
From all of us at Hoyne, thank you for being part of our story! For supporting local, for believing in craft, and for helping us spread a little light when the days are short.
Here’s to fine beer, fine people, and fine things ahead.
Cheers,
Sean Hoyne
