Oaklands Community Centre
This month we are proud to be supporting the Oaklands Community Association, which provides a welcoming, engaging, sustainable community where all members can live, learn and thrive. Established in 1995 by a group of committed citizens, the Oaklands Community Centre opened its doors to the public in 2000. As a major employer within the neighbourhood, the OCA has approximately 14 full-time and 57 part-time employees as well as a number of contract instructors and over 100 volunteers.
The association offers both a summer and a winter farmers market, a wide range of recreation programs, a childcare centre, out-of-school care, camps, youth drop-in programs, community dinners, events, and learning workshops for everyone.
If you’d like to learn more about how to get involved, please visit the Oaklands Community Association website.
