The UVSS Food Bank & Free Store
About the UVSS Food Bank & Free Store
The UVSS Food Bank & Free Store is run by a team of dedicated staff and volunteers and offers all UVic students access to food essentials and free household items.
With the rising costs of tuition, housing, childcare, and food, we do what we can to provide essential support to undergrad and grad students. Extra resources are available for students supporting families.
n addition to the regular food bank services offered to students in the Student Union Building, the Food bank provides students with the option to make their own food hampers.
Items typically available in the Food Bank:
Eggs, milk, canned food, fresh vegetables & fruit, bread, non-dairy milk, juice as well as bulk items, safer-sex supplies, and menstrual products.
Students can drop by the UVSS Food Bank & Free Store during posted drop-in hours. All services are totally confidential and all current UVic students are welcome to use this service.

We are located in the basement of the Student Union Building (next to The Martlet) on the UVic campus. The space is accessible from the stairs and elevator.
