Featured Charity: Compost Education Centre
COMPOST EDUCATION CENTRE
This month we are proud to be supporting the Compost Education Centre, which offers all-ages education on soil science, composting, organic gardening, conservation practices, and sustainability.
With its demonstration gardens and teaching site, the CEC integrates soil health, permaculture and restoration practices to increase public knowledge on climate change resiliency and food security. This is all done while also providing access to educational resources, workshops, compost and a garden retail space.
This awesome non-profit organization has charitable status and provides composting and ecological gardening education to residents of the Capital Regional District (CRD) and Greater Victoria, British Columbia.
Core funding is generously provided by the CRD and the City of Victoria, but it also gratefully welcomes donations of support from the community. If you’d like to learn more about the project and how to get involved, you can visit the Compost Education Centre website.
As with all of our featured charities, partial proceeds from the sale of growler fills from our Growler Station (at the brewery) will be given to this awesome and important organization.
